Why Cure?

The word cure comes from the Latin “cura”, meaning “the care, concern or attention given to someone”. We believe that in an environment of care, concern and attention meaningful change can be brought about. It is also interesting that the word “curious” derives from the same Latin “cura”. Being “curious” is an essential element in psychoanalysis and psychotherapy. That means the two (or more) people in the room are willing to adopt a non-judgemental and contemplative “curiosity” about what arises.
